Today, I had a unique opportunity to share a few moments on a live local television program to speak briefly about the current upheaval in our nation concerning the potential overturning of “Roe vs Wade.” We did an interview via Zoom at Poplar Heights Baptist Church. The “we” consisted of Pastor Clarence Currie, Pastor Richard Bragg, and myself.
We also wanted to announce the gathering of our local prayer circle on Thursday morning at Old Country Store. We will meet there to do another TV interview and pray generally for God’s will to be done with Roe vs Wade and the hopes of a national recognition of the rights that should be afforded to unborn children. We will also recognize the faithful work done by our friends at Birth Choice. Regardless of your religious affiliation, if you wish to respectfully join in our prayer time, come to the Old Country Store at 10am. Below is a copy of the video from today’s broadcast.
It is important to remember that we approach things from a Christian context. In our belief set, God holds life dear and is the Creator of all life. He even has a purpose for each soul, some very special purposes that can alter the course of history, invent life changing technology, or cure diseases through the wisdom that He imparts. If you want to take a peak into God’s opinion of the unborn, take a look at these verses of scripture: Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 139:13-16, Luke 1:44, and Galatians 1:15.
