I am happy to report that our second team is in place. Last night Joe and I traveled to the city of Bucovice where we met with a young man who will help us moderate the second group. This group will mostly be young people. Our moderator will be Marek N. who was very enthusiastic about helping us with modeling the “I Am Second” Bible study method. As we met with his family and enjoyed discussion about this, we were also asked if we might do this with a men’s group in Bucovice. We told them that this might be a possibility in the future but with doing this initial test period, we needed to focus on our first 3 groups. Maybe after the first stage of this process, we can examine starting other groups in Bucovice. It is exciting for us to see such enthusiasm! Yet, we know that we cannot stretch ourselves too thin or we will not be able to manage the development of the initial groups.
Before we met to discuss our proposal, we were invited to share in a church service with this family and several of the people from the Bucovice area. Joe preached about the two thieves at the crucifixion of Christ and how we also have nothing of significance to offer Jesus but our love and gratitude when compared to all that He has done for us. Later, I was asked to sing and I was blessed to use this gift for the Lord and I think my friends there enjoyed the 5 songs which I sang for them. Well, I will wrap this up by simply giving thanks to God for His hand in our feeble attempts to serve Him. May He be glorified… amen.
