Yessir… uh, and yes ma’am… I had another opportunity to do a live taping on “6 In The City” a few days ago to discuss a training conference that my local CEF chapter is conducting soon. I sincerely appreciate Janet Wilbanks for extending the invitation. I also really enjoy being on this “well-done” local TV show with its on-air hosts… Steve Bowers and Cassandra Fuller. They are professionals and yet do not come across as aloof. About Steve, specifically, I have followed his online, on-air radio, and on-air TV presence for a very long time.
Now, back to the why I was on TV. I serve and work as local director for Child Evangelism Fellowship, Greater Jackson Chapter. I have worked for CEF for a little over eight years and I love what I do. We conduct evangelistic outreach to children in central West Tennessee -and- we provide excellent training for those interested in children’s ministry training. I was on 6 In The City to promote a conference that we are developing and, Lord willing, will continue to grow over the years. This training is a mixture of teaching on many topics, ranging from God’s Heart for Children to Preparing Your Heart to Teach.
So, the last (undisclosed) set of caps in the title above is JEA. That stands for Jackson Energy Authority, our local utility company and the party responsible for the TV program I appeared on. This is a good, high quality, organization that has consistently provided for the utility needs of area citizens.
I suppose it is time to share some pics! Check out the gallery below to get an idea of what an episode of 6 In The City is like.
