Yes, the Lord has blessed us with a new ministry job and a new place to live. A new chapter has started in the story of our lives. After months of preparation, searching, and praying, I interviewed for and have been hired as the new Ministry Coordinator for CEF of Greater Jackson. Child Evangelism Fellowship is a very old ministry that is global in it’s scope. This ministry started in 1937 and currently has over 2900 missionaries serving overseas. The following is our purpose statement:
Child Evangelism Fellowship® is a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.
I was actually approved by the local CEF Committee and the CEF Tennessee State Committee to start work at the beginning of August, but so much has been happening that I haven’t even noted it here in my personal ministry blog. However, I want to state here – very clearly – that I am grateful for this opportunity and thankful for the Lord’s leading me into this new position.
So, what has kept me so busy? Well, since you asked… I have been acclimating to my new position and role as CEF Ministry Coordinator and I have also moved us from the mission house that we were living in to a new rental situation back in my hometown, Humboldt. I won’t get into all the details of the move, but it has been a lot of work to get everything organized and somewhat settled. Yet, even through the stress of moving, the Lord has been so good to us by providing certain items through the free gifts of dear friends and discounted furniture purchases. God is good!
Allow me to finish this article and say that in the future, I will post more about CEF and the work ahead. God bless you. Please keep praying for Dawn and I as we move forward with the Lord at our side. Amen.
