Earlier this week, Dawn and I took a little trip to Kentucky to the Creation Museum. This trip had two purposes. One was to simply get away for a few days for some R&R. The other reason was to celebrate Dawn’s birthday. If you don’t know this about my dear wife, she was born on the 4th of July.
In case you are wondering, we have already been to the Ark Experience, which is in the same general area as the Creation Museum. This little adventure was designed as a three-day trip because it takes a little over five hours to get to the location in Petersburg, KY. So, we wanted to have one full day to enjoy the 4th. This was a nice trip and other than getting a less than desirable room reservation (grumble grumble), it was a good experience.
We visited the Creation Museum on Dawn’s actual birthday and enjoyed the many excellent exhibits and the onsite gospel group, True Song. We tested out the 4D theater and Dawn really liked it… me, well, as a single-sighted person, the three-dimensional effect doesn’t translate to me. It was still ok. The planetarium show that we saw was very cool as well and reminded me of how very small we are in the universe and how VERY BIG and POWERFUL our Creator God must be.
I won’t make this post very long. I will, however, post several photos to give you an idea of how well done the exhibits are. I must say that both attractions – the Ark and Creation Museum – are very well done and the quality and workmanship is top-notch. I am confident that if you make the journey to visit them, you will not be disappointed.
God bless you all and… HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAWN, I love you!
