About a week ago, I was invited to an event at the old Central High School in Alamo, TN. A good ministry friend, Dr. John Freeman, had invited me to join him there as the Crockett Co. Alumni gathered for a fundraiser to support an important project… the Crockett Co. Community and Family Resource Center.
My first experience working with these fine folks was last summer when I helped lead a CYIA team to this facility to share the love of Jesus with several precious children at their Kaleidoscope Camp program. We hope to do the same this summer.
Now, back to this event. It was designed to raise money to help continue the renovations needed to better serve the children and families of the area. They had some vendors with food and they had a silent auction. Obviously, there was ample time to mix and mingle. I got to meet several new people, including both the mayor of Alamo and the mayor of Crockett County. I also had a nice conversation with the president of the alumni association and a few other kind-hearted people.
Here are a few photos that I took with my trusty Pixel. Hope you enjoy them and if it is in your ability to do so, support this effort to help this facility grow and flourish.
