My goodness, last evening I had an opportunity to join some old friends and travel to South Fulton, Tennessee to sing to a group of people for a special occasion. Our friend Pastor Ron Cox invited the “Kindred Spirits” to come and present a concert to the annual deacons / widow & widower banquet. They were very kind to us and we had a blast. Many moons ago, I traveled with this Southern Gospel group singing baritone… for 20 years! The group as is pictured below hasn’t been assembled in over 6 years… if memory serves me well. We sang a lot of old songs and I think the folks who listened enjoyed it too. Below are some photos from the day. Oh, and in case you are not familiar with us… the group consists of Dale and Christi Denning, myself and Danny King. Danny is the taller one on the end 🙂

A Day in the Life
Yesterday was a very busy day, and this post is about a “day in the life” of a CEF local director (me). Granted, not every day is this busy, but you would be surprised at how many are. I am NOT writing this to try and build up my image or status in your mind,…

Harambee 2024
So, tonight I went to a Harambee which is a Kenyan tradition rooted in community self-help. The term means “all pull together” in Swahili, Kenya’s national language. My friends, Jared and Angela Okoth were part of this local fundraiser event. They joined with another missionary couple, Robert and Jan Rodriguez, to do the event. Both…
Considering Christmas – 2022
It is Christmas Eve as I start writing this, around 11:55am, and I begin the process of attempting to put feelings into words on a digital piece of paper. This year as in many others, the business of life, ministry, and annoying health issues (actually, this part is new) have made me say more than…
In Memory of Donny Jewell
Last night about 8:00pm on January 18th, 2015… my brother died after years of fighting various chronic health issues. Over the last few months, Donny struggled with congestive heart failure, diabetes, and depression. I loved my brother and at this moment, the thing that brings me peace is the confidence that I have in knowing…
