Tonight, I was invited to visit a prayer gathering that meets at the Green Frog Farms Chapel. Dr. John Freeman invited me to come for a couple of reasons. First, to followed up with representatives from the Crockett County Alumni group that is organizing an after school program for the children of the area. I feel blessed to have an opportunity to work with them to advance the ministry of CEF into Crockett Co. Lord willing, we will partner with them this summer to share our 5-Day Club programming.
Mrs. Patterson has been my primary contact with the alumni, but all of their members have been friendly and are filled with love and compassion for the children of the county. Mrs. Patterson shared a bit of information with the group and then Dr. Freeman gave me an opportunity to share a brief accounting of what CEF does in the world.
We followed up all of that with a unique prayer time where different people shared short testimonies and then prayed back favorite scriptures to God. I neglected to say that we started the evening with scripture reading and short portions of relevant songs to compliment the each reading. I have been blessed each time I have joined this group and I was grateful for the invitation. Below are a few photos that I took in the rustic old historic chapel.
