This morning I went for a prayerwalk and thought about how different these little walks with God are now verses about 4 months ago. Look below for a few photos that I took with my cell phone as I walked. I really like the one of the tree that stands in such splendor showing off it’s fall colors. Anyway, back to the contrast… before coming back home, I walked a lot in a major European city in the Czech Republic. Brno has around 400,000 people in it and I actually enjoyed walking the sidewalks and back streets of the city as I prayerwalked. There were old beautiful buildings and cobblestone streets. Now that I am home, there are few sidewalks to walk on and I have to be careful to watch the traffic as I walk along. The pictures below show the area where I now walk… highways, residential areas, hustle and bustle.
This morning I had a LOT on my mind as I walked along trying to commune with the Father. Of course, we just went through a gritty and divisive election season which brought the worse in both sides. Personally, I wasn’t pleased with the outcome but I am thankful to live in a free land where the process can work “freely” for the most part and now that it has, I pray that our politicians will try to actually consider the citizens they are supposed to represent more than their brand of ideology and blind party loyalty. Well, in my personal spiritual life, I tried to focus on some things which the Lord has been working out in my spirit lately… things concerning direction and ministry focus… things like feeding my family and being a better dad to my kids… things like being thankful for a God who can use the birds of the air to feed and take care of us. I am so thankful for such a God… the one true God… my God and Heavenly Father. Amen.
