It was a rainy day when we ventured to Prague to visit with our company friends at Stromovka Park in Prague. We knew that there might be a chance of a shower or two but we decided it was worth the drive with the hopes of visiting with some company folks… and we hoped to talk shop just a little bit. We were unfamiliar with the area of town where the park and meeting place was… but thanks to our trusty friend, Garmin… we made it there early. Unknown to us, the picnic and gathering got cancelled due to the dreary weather and cooler temps. When we found out, we decided to eat at the restaurant and afterwards we were invited to share some coffee and conversation with the Hatchell family. This was worth the trip and it was nice to get to know them a little better and remind them of how we first met… so long ago, in 2001. Anyway, here are just a few pictures that I took in the park.

Be the Light
Last evening, I was blessed to join in an ordination council for a brother, new friend, and new committee member for CEF of Greater Jackson. This brother is Bruce Entsminger, and he is being ordained “officially” into the Gospel Ministry at Poplar Heights Baptist Church. Mind you, Bruce has already been dedicated to the ministry…

Bus Trip – Pittsburg
This post will feature a little commentary about our trip and tour through Pittsburg, PA. I’ll also add a photo gallery to show some of what we saw. If some of the photos look odd, it is because we did a lot of the tour from the bus, so there may be reflections and other…
Who is My Neighbor?
Isn’t it interesting that often the most learned among us struggle with this simple question… “who is my neighbor?” In Luke, we recall the story of the Good Samaritan as Jesus presented it to the man who was “an expert in Moses’ Teachings.” You may want to go back and read the whole story again,…
Bobby Says “Armor-Up”
Last night at the Gathering, our brother, Bobby Lewellen, shared the Word with us. His focus came from Ephesians 6:10-18 and a discussion about the armor of God. He also touched on some verses in Matthew to start his devotional thoughts. I would sum up Bobby’s message as an encouragement to put on the full…
