This is a sincere thanks to you! If you are taking time to read this and care enough to pray for us and our ministry, we are very very grateful. You will never know how important that your prayers are to us… and that is not just fluff, I’m serious.
Tomorrow in my homeland, people will be celebrating Thanksgiving Day. The Lord has blessed us with a few new friends here in Brno who have invited us over to their home to spend Thanksgiving with them as well as some other missionaries from the states. This will of course not be the same as being home… but it will help! God bless the Young family here in Brno for doing this. They are good people. I am also thankful for each person who we have met abroad who has taken time to befriend us and show us honest Christian love. I had better not begin naming names or I would surely forget some. We have some dear friends in Romania whom we miss a lot and we have begun a few new friendships here in CZ that are also blessings to us. We are thankful for our Roma brothers and sisters who serve with us and have shown us kindness.
We are also thankful for our many “company” friends who live and serve all around the world. To those who serve our European Affinity in leadership positions… thank you for the help and encouragement over the last year or so. Some of you have gone above and beyond to help us when there were bad days and struggles. You know who you are and we will never forget those times of encouragement and wise counsel.
Thinking again of home and family and friends… we miss our children so much but we are VERY thankful for them and are proud of them. We are also thankful for our families. We miss them too… moms and brothers and sister. We are thankful for our church family at Chapel Hill. Sometimes it seems we are completely disconnected yet we know that in the spirit you all are indeed connected to us through your love and prayers. There are also brothers and sisters in other places in the states who are not members of our specific church but have loved and cared for us greatly. God bless you all and thank you for the goodness that you have brought into our lives… amen.
