This first photo album has a few pictures from the hotel and area where we stayed in Vienna and some shots from the zoo and our walk up to it. Dawn and I were overdue for a little personal time and even though the weather turned off cold and misty, we enjoyed our get-away. We found a nice hotel which was not TOO expensive compared to normal rates for Vienna and it was nice and quiet. The hotel was actually inside of a city park which made it quiet but was also within an easy walk of the imperial palace and zoo.
The evening after we got checked in, we just walked about the area of the city where we were staying and ducked into a nice cozy little coffee shop to get out of the cold and just talk about life and service and the future. The little shop was almost empty so again, we were in a quiet environment. Hmmm, maybe this was a part of our escape? To get alone and be quiet and talk to each other and God? I’d say that was highly possible. Later in the evening, we found a different place to have supper together. It was a little restaurant on the way back to the hotel which had very good food.
